#hcsmca soldiers on
A huge thank you to all of you who contributed to today’s #hcsmca chat or posted on Pat Rich’s blog (or both) about the evolution of #hcsmca. It will take us a bit of time to chew through all the great food for thought, consult with the community, and set decisions in motion.
If there are any ideas that you want to lead, co-lead, get behind and make happen, please let me know.
In the meantime, #hcsmca will continue as per normal. Over the next few week’s we have a great line up of moderators and topics, delivering the things you asked for during today’s chat.
- Jan 15 Jackie Hickey (@JackieHickeyRN) welcomes your topic suggestions here. #hcsmca is your community. Submit your problem for the community to solve, a burning question to ponder or case study to examine.
- Jan 22 Emily Nicholas (@Emily_Nicholas8) & Christina Spencer from @PatientsCanada examine The Patient Narrative and Social Media. Then later that evening they have invited me to a PatientsCanada Open Meeting to talk about the patient narrative on social media, including through #hcsmca.
- Jan 29, 9pm ET med student Varuna Prakash (@_varuna) will introduce #hcsmca to her classmates, brainstorm a pithy #meded topic and bring it to the evening #hcsmca crowd.
- Feb 5 I will welcome special guests Anatoliy Gruzd (@gruzd) and Caroline Haythornthwaite (@hthwaite), authors of the study of hcsmca Enabling Community Through Social Media to talk about their findings.
A special thank you to @cmaer for instigating this shake up of the #hcsmca community to get us going in 2014. Thank you to every member for your support, ideas and enthusiasm.
