#hcsmca Meetup: Your collective assignment

February 22, 2011

So what are we going to do at the #hcsmca meetups? Talk, connect, share of course. But I want more. Let’s develop #hcsmca’s value proposition together.

I’d like each group to get creative and produce “something” that expresses the value of #hcsmca. For example, ask participants to complete one of the following statements:

  • #hcsmca gives me the opportunity to ______________.
  • I want to start taking part in #hcsmca to ___________________.
  • #hcsmca = ____________________

Collect the answers and turn them into something to show the rest of us. Your “something” could be presented as a:

  • Video of onsite interview vignettes
  • Photo gallery
  • Collaborative blog post
  • Set of tweets
  • Or? …

Get creative! Have fun!

P.S. Don’t forget to bring your cameras and your business cards.

#hcsmca gives me the opportunity to network, share, stay connect and learn.

I want to start taking part in #hcsmca to join, be part of and contribute to valuable communities in the Canadian health care space.

I look forward to meeting you.

The Toronto meetup is growing and I’m expecting a lively bunch in a not-so-quiet pub. So here’s my idea for the Toronto contribution to the Meetup memory or “something” demonstrating #hcsmca value:

    1. Each person will be asked to write his/her response to the statement below using 3 words or less.
    “For me, #hcsmca = ________________.”

    2. We’ll take a picture of each person holding their reponse.

    3. The photo gallery will be posted to the #hcsmca blog.

Please let me know if you
    – would like to volunteer to take the photos
    – have a suggestion how to present the photos on the blog
    – have a better idea :-)

While you’re welcome to copy this model, I look forward to variations using different media.

Nice interactive idea to encourage involvement! Will think about the best approach for the Halifax group – as several are not yet aware of #hcsmca!!! Will let it be what it needs to be!

Great Gerard. Capturing what newbies think #hcsmca is, or what they hope it will be, is valuable too. (especially if we convert skeptics :) Maybe before and after impression?

As I’ll be late getting there – this contribution is in lieu:)

#hcsmca gives me the opportunity to = connect with other health care practitioners & people looking to improve their own health
I want to start taking part in #hcsmca to ensure people can reach out at nay time a feel connected to a community of socially minded people and to bridge relationships between traditional & modern medicines.
#hcsmca = opportunities to create healthier communities:)

For me the questions can best be answered with three simple words, connect, contibute and engagement!
